　　Now a teen hero, she starts using her fame to speak out for the causes she believes in, most of all integration.

　　In doing so, she earns the wrath of the show’s former star, Amber Von Tussel (Colleen Fitzpatrick, now known as the singer, Vitamin C) as well as Amber’s evil parents who cook up a plot to steal back Amber’s teen queen crown.

right, i haven't  ignore the quintessence of Chinese culture but ,don't be too fussy in such a difference or would be quiet resentful of the world.:P

没，这类片子学生时代比较感兴趣，那时没看过，现在就更没时间看了，如同《八部半》，早就买了，看了四次，睡着三次:dry:

i have the same experience as you had when i watched for B&W old old old films,
in my age, they some times a gap .
